My Story
Born in Zambia, I grew up in Papua New Guinea before secondary education at Millfield School. I gained a BEng from Imperial College in Aeronautical Engineering before selection for ordination in the Church of England. I took first class honours from Durham in Theology alongside a Master's thesis on C.S. Lewis. I served as a pastor, teacher, and housemaster in a parish and at Magdalen College School in Oxford. My teaching career has encompassed Theology, Philosophy, Mathematics, and Economics. As a Headmaster I grew a struggling Christian boarding school into a success story over more than a decade, before moving to International Christian School in Hong Kong. I believe in a Christ-centred education under the authority of the Bible, as the best basis for a liberal arts curriculum, informed by cognitive science.
